love and some verses

{the bride--huntman's sister}

{huntman's momma}

{huntman's sisters}

{my momma}

{huntman's cousin-- josh}

{josh's momma}

{roadtrip buddies}

{3 generations}

this weekend i fell in love all over again with huntman's family. the strong beautiful women. his funny brothers. his remarkable parents.
this falling-in-love-again business caused me to remember huntman.

after the tearsi scrawled on the cheap super 8 pad of paper this:

when you love someone and they leave you,
you want to hate them.
but memories blend into a soft smile. or well up to great big alligator tears of longing.
so your hate is fruitless.

you want to forget them.
forget their scent.
their laugh.
their hands.

their eyelashes.
their voice.

it all proves to be going splendidly-- you take notice of other boys.
they open your door and you catch yourself falling into their smile and scent, waving off the fading memories of the one you love inside.

but then, the gunpowder trail of being in their hometown ignites the fading memories, and
you remember.
you remember you love them.

you can't hate them. you can't forget them.
and so, you wait

you wait for an absolution. you wait for the void to fill.
you wait to forget them again,
so you can carry on.
